Easter Hymn:SOLSC2013#31

Morning Has Broken
This is My Father’s World
How Great Thou Art

O Come, O Come Emmanuel
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
Child in the Manger

O Little Town of Bethlehem
O Come All Ye Faithful
Go Tell It on the Mountain

Heaven Came Down
Wonderful Words of Life
What a Friend We Have in Jesus

Rock of Ages, Cleft for Me
The Old Rugged Cross
Grace Greater than Our Sin

Christ the Lord Is Risen Today
Crown Him with Many Crowns
He Lives

Saved, Saved
Love Lifted Me
Victory in Jesus

Make Me a Blessing
My Jesus, I Love Thee
To God Be the Glory

Will need to give it a try!

So many tunes humming in my head as I read your poem. So creative and perfect!

This is just a perfect poem of wonderful childhood memories. Recently we have been doing so many more hymns jazzed up a bit. I’ve so missed them. It reminds me of the poems with stacks of books. xo

  4. Found poetry! I had forgotten about this technique, but will never forget again. You took lines from some of my most beloved hymns and spirituals and made the words sing on the page. Thank you!

  5. Ramona says:

I echo the above comments – words singing on the page, childhood memories, tunes humming in my head! Your post sent me in search of my own Easter hymn poem yesterday. Thanks for the idea.

  6. Tam says:

Better than any headlines. Perfect for Easter. Thanks.
