Gift of Forgiveness
Fills the gap
Back on solid ground
This is my poem in response to Tectonic Rift (15 Words or Less)prompt at laurasalas.com today.
The word “rift” carries so much weight, but “gift” balances it so well–just like in real life. Thank you for a poem that resonates so much with so few words (one to spare!).
Wow. fifteen words can really pack a punch. It really captures a true friendship, where rifts happens, but the foundation remains.
Great poem! I saw the prompt but didn’t get a chance to participate–last day of parent teacher conferences! I love Laura’s photo prompts and it’s always fascinating to see the different directions people take.
Your fifteen words said so much!! Your choice of words was impactful!
The topic of friendship doesn’t need to be long and flowery – simple and to the point in 15 words.
What a wonderful poem! Great prompt work — you have great word choice. Powerful.
Thank you for your word-gifts. Beautiful.
And thank you for your kind comments to me!
Choosing the right words for a poem causes that poem to really have an impact on the reader. You have chosen your word well.
I love reading the poetic responses to challenges. This one you completed is especially meaningful. I love the short two line phrases and then the clincher – back on solid ground.
This is a wonderful poetic response, Diane. Continue to create!
