Get the girls together and go to the movies! Have fun laughing and singing! Wax nostalgic for your younger days (or celebrate if you are in the midst of them). Be reminded there’s joy in every stage of life if you embrace it. If you are the mama of a daughter, let your heart swell with those feelings only a mother knows. You might need to be prepared for a few tears, but in the end you’ll come out feeling good.
I went to Mamma Mia tonight with my daughter, sister, niece, and her friend. A twenty-something, two thirty-somethings, and two sixty-somethings, we all enjoyed it. We laughed out loud, embarrassingly burst into song, cried a little, and hugged a lot at the end of the evening. You couldn’t ask for a better girls’ night!
